Finding your way through the seemingly insurmountable objective, step by step, ledge by ledge, loose rock by loose rock, until somehow, you end up at the top, where few have stood. The juice is worth the squeeze, the treasure of the view from this obscure little choss pile, sure is Grand!

Nerds do sure like their rocks! This bad boy was named “Geikie Monument” in 1901 for Sir Archibald Geikie (GC Geologist) and adopted in 1908 by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names. First summited in 1977, as since has only seen 5 parties (known to 2022).
